The luxury hotel and resort game is competitive.  Somehow, some way, it’s imperative to find that secret sauce you can offer affluent travelers who demand and expect not only the best, but something even better than your direct competition can off.

So, knowing that, kudos to Baha Mar in the Bahamas and their Travel With Confidence program.

Simply put, there is not like it anywhere in the world…

It’s hard to not find something you will love about Baha Mar resort on Cable Beach on Nassau, Bahamas.

For one thing, the luxury compound is made up of three separate hotels.  Rosewood, SLS and Grand Hyatt all have a flag planted on this island, with all the over-the-top amenities, world class dining and beautiful weather and scenery you could possibly want.

Just this month, the resort was able to open fully after being closed since early in the pandemic, and they made sure the reopening was safe and secure, with numerous safety protocols in place.

The Bahamas actually requires visitors to have a negative PCR test, health insurance and a health visa.

The property has taken great lengths to make sure nobody arrives with COVID, but what happens if they contract it while they are on the island?

That is the part that’s hard to believe, and makes Baha Mar stand alone with what they offer guests that test positive.

With the new Travel with Confidence program the property has instituted, if a guest is confirmed to test positive they will quarantine in their suite for up to 14 days, with the resort picking up all the costs for the days that go beyond what was originally booked on the reservation.

When guests depart, if their destination nation requires proof of a negative COVID test, and the guest tests positive before departure, the resort will provide a complimentary stay of up too 14 days, in a suite.

With that comes a complimentary daily dining credit of $150 per day, per person.

If the guest needs to return to the U.S. and can’t stay and quarantine the additional time up to two weeks, there is one more option for them if they so choose.

The hotel will provide a private jet back home for the guest who has fallen ill, and up to three members of their family.

The cost? Nothing. Baha Mar absorbs it all.

That is a perk of all perks, and something to look into if your travel plans include this glamorous and luxurious Caribbean island.
