Shaun White’s latest real estate transaction did not go as well as most of his halfpipes in the Olympics and X Games. The four-time Olympic gold medalist and 10-time ESPY winner took a bronze medal on the sale of his spectacular beachfront house in Malibu, California.

White sold the coastal residence, located near Point Dume 30 to 90 minutes from Los Angeles (depending on traffic, of course), for $8 million, four years after purchasing it for $10.75 million.

Originally built in 1948, the house has three bedrooms and 2,164 square feet of living space. But what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in sheer beauty. Plus, Shaun White used to live there, so there’s a cool factor involved that most homes lack.

There is privacy aplenty, as it is set behind private gates on a bluff that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. There are views throughout the home too, and it features high ceilings, in case the next owner is a skater and wants to Ollie the island in the kitchen.
