Nobody ever said flying to the edge of space was cheap, but if you have an extra $450,000 lying around, and you are jonesing to soar into space, Virgin Galactic will gladly save a spot for you on a future flight.
They are re-opening ticket sales for the first time in many years. In fact, the last time they sold tickets roughly a decade ago, they were priced between $200K – $250K.
Just last month founder Richard Branson took a ride on his space capsule, now he said that the company will send anyone else with the money into space starting next year.
They are selling three different experiences: single seat reservations, multi-seat reservations for families and friends, and a third option for the true ballers who want the whole damn spaceship to themselves.
Can you say 10 mile high club?
There is a huge demand for these seats, and they will go to people who have already put down a $1,000 deposit.
The nearly half million dollar investment will get passengers an experience that lasts an hour, and go about 50,000 feet in the air.
