Things got wild and dangerous on the streets of Beverly Hills Thursday, as an armed robbery targeted someone wearing one of the most expensive, and sought after watches in the world.
One woman was shot in the heist. The watch the thieves were after was Richard Mille brand, RM 11-03 rose gold Flyback Chronograph. The cost of this watch is half a million dollars.
According to the Richard Mille website, the watch has a “skeletonized, automatic winding movement with a variable-geometry rotor. Under the bonnet of the RM 11-03 beats a flyback chronograph ready to literally race on the track.”
All of that is a fancy way of saying it’s a baller watch that celebs covet.
Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and Kevin Hart all own the watch.
Even some much lower level celebrities who want to emulate A-listers have an affinity for this watch. An actor named Terry Crews from the television show Brooklyn 911 apparently even wears one.
The robbery went down at Il Pastaio, a famous Beverly Hills restaurant and celeb hangout on Canon Street. Three crooks demanded the watch from someone eating there. One woman was shot as the three suspects ran away.
Luckily, the woman will be okay and suffered non life-threatening injuries.
