San Fran’s DA Woke Up Without A Job. Uber Liberal Progressive District Attorney Booted By Voters Who Want Safety.

You must be woefully incompetent if you are a Democrat in San Francisco and voters rally vote you out of office.   Say this about District Attorney Chesa Boudin; he was certainly that.

Thanks to a successful recall effort in the City by the Bay Tuesday, the disdained DA is out. It wasn’t like residents were on the fence either, as the final tally was 61% to 39% in favor of ending his reign of terror for law-abiding citizens and business owners affected by his soft-on-crime stance.

He was one of the Uber-liberal progressive DA’s whose campaign George Soros supported and funded, but he lasted less than three years in office.

It’s hard to figure out where to begin to describe how his progressive criminal justice policies hurt the city, but in a nutshell, murders, violent crime, burglaries, shoplifting, and drug trade going on in the middle of the day were all way up, and just some of the things that voters could no longer tolerate.

If it’s any consolation to Boudin, he made history, becoming the first San Francisco DA ever to face this indignity.

Despite the humiliation, he talked tough at an election night watch party.

“This is a movement, not a moment in history. The coalition that we built… it is broad, it is diverse, it is strong. And it is a coalition that is deeply committed to justice.”

Of course, he had to blame someone or something for what transpired, and he went with the old standby “corporate interests.”

Mayor London Breed gets to pick his replacement.

Los Angeles residents are trying to do the same thing to their DA George Gascon, and this result up north gave organizers hope. Here’s a quote from a rep of the Recall Gascon Campaign.

“Tonight showed that voters from every community and every walk of life, regardless of political ideology, are rejecting pro-criminal policies that are masked as criminal justice reform. George Gascón and Chesa Boudin’s failed social experiments have destroyed communities while doing nothing to meaningfully reform the system. If LA County voters sign and return their recall petitions, Gascon will be walking the same plank in the near future.”
