For at least one person in the world, 2020 is turning out to be the BEST YEAR EVER! Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes continues to defy the odds in this disastrous year with life and career defining moments happening almost monthly. This week, the Chiefs QB and AFC Offensive Player of the Week announced that he and his fiancee are expecting a mini-Mahomes. The announcement continues an incredible year for the NFL star that just keeps getting better.

The 25-year old began 2020 by winning the Super Bowl and being named the game’s MVP. Over the summer, Mahomes’ agreed to the richest U.S. professional sports contract ever, signing a 10-year deal that could end up paying him around $500 million dollars. In July, he purchased an ownership stake in the Kansas City Royals. Shortly after, he purchased an engagement ring and placed it on his fiancee’s hand in August, right after receiving his uber-opulent Super Bowl ring.

Wait, there’s more. Now in the midst of planning a wedding, the two are also going to be doing some baby shopping after their most recent news. Matthews posted the announcement on social media, captioning the post: “Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding.” The social media post came less than 24-hours after the Chiefs blasted the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football 34-20, which led to Mahomes being named AFC Offensive Player of the Week after throwing for 385 yards and four touchdowns.

No word yet on when the baby is due, or gender, but if it’s a boy, expect it to be able to throw his pacifier—or rattle—across the house with tremendous accuracy by the time he’s 6 months old.
