Is Sam Adams Drunk? New Line Of Beer Is Illegal In 15 States And Costs Almost $1,500 For A Six-Pack!

Samuel Adams has found an interesting way to market their new, limited edition beer.

Pack it with so much alcohol, it can’t be purchased in 15 states.

Every two years Samuel Adams releases a new version of their Utopias brand of been, and the new one is set to be available October 11.

Unless you live in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont and West Virginia.

Why? How? Is this true?

It sure is. The new version of the brew contains 28% alcohol by volume. That is strong beer, more than five times the strength of normal American beer.

If you don’t live in one of those 15 states where the beer is illegal, you might wish you did when you see the price tag of this special edition brewski. $240 for a 25.4 ounce bottle!

That is not a misprint.

Oh, even if you live in one of the 35 states the beer is legal, and you recently won the lottery so you can afford a bottle of it, you might not be able to find it. Sam Adams only brews about 13,00 bottles every two years.

Here’s what Jim Koch, the founder of Samuel Adams said in a statement.  “We pioneered the barrel-aging and blending process of Utopias almost thirty years ago and continue that time-honored tradition today.”
