Imagine being able to buy a yacht or private jet as easily as the average person could pay for a lunch at Chipotle.
Yahoo Finance broke down the incredible wealth of some of the world’s richest people to try to put it into some sort of perspective for anyone who is not quite that wealthy.
Stat alert: According to the Federal Reserve, the median U.S. household has a net worth of $121,700.
Now, knowing that, let’s take it next level.
If you were to take Bezos’ net worth of $211.4 billion and divide it by that number that represents the average American net worth, (Above).
Bezos can spend $1.7 million as easily as someone with an average American net worth could spend $1 dollar.
You read that last sentence correctly.
For Elon Musk, the number is $1.3 million, and for Bill Gates the number would be $1.08 million.
Here’s one more financial fact about Gates that will literally blow you away. With his current net worth of of $131 billion, he could spend $1 million per day for the next 350 years and still not run out of money.
