The job report that came out Friday painted a very bleak picture of what business owners were hinting about for weeks.
Many Americans don’t want to work, and thanks to Joe Biden’s policies, they really don’t have to.
Under Biden’s $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, workers who lost jobs during the pandemic now earn more in unemployment than they did working.
And that fact has de-motivated a whole lot of people who have no problem cashing the checks.
Here’s the math. Unemployed people, many who could find new jobs now that the country is opening up again get $300 in free money every week in federal benefits. The gravy train will got on all the way to Labor Day, so they get the whole summer off essentially.
That’s just part of the government handout most receive. They also are cashing $320 weekly checks from their states. That’s $638 per week.
And it was even better in April, when unemployed people could take home $938 every single week.
The federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour, but unemployment benefits average out to almost $16 per hour.
Currently there are 7,400,000 jobs open in the US.
