Wow, the pandemic didn’t exactly slow some celebrities down from cashing massive checks in 2020. Forbes said that the top 100 celebrities earned a mind-blowing $6.1 billion this year. The total is down from a year ago, but you can understand why, since there were almost no concerts, no movies in theaters and no place to go.

If you guessed Dwayne Johnson would be on this list, you’re right, but probably not where you expected. The Rock came up 10th, earning an estimated $87.5 million in 2020.

LeBron James won another NBA title this year, he got a new contract and he brokered some pricey endorsement deals to come in No. 9, at $88.2 million.

Howard Stern is No. 8 at $90 million, but he’s almost guaranteed to rise in next year’s rankings because he just signed a brand-new contract.

Soccer stars are at No. 7, 5 and 4, with Neymar banking $95.5 million, Lionel Messi $104 million and Cristiano Ronaldo at $105 million.

Tyler Perry wedged himself in there at No. 6, pulling in $97 million in 2020, and Roger Federer earns the honor of the highest-paid sports star. He’s No. 3, with a $106.3 million cash flow.

The top two are related. Kanye West didn’t make much of a stir in the Presidential Election, but he must have been too busy making money.  Thanks to his deal with Adidas, his apparel line and his collaboration with Gap, Yeezy banked a staggering $170 million.

Which is well under half of what his sister-in-law Kylie Jenner made in 2020. She was the top earner in the Kardashian/Jenner clan, bringing home $590 million this year. That’s almost $50 million per month! The makeup tycoon and reality-show star should be high on the list for years to come too, as the family just signed a long-term deal with Hulu to showcase their lives as they have for the past 12 years or so.
