Anyone up for a double dose of caffeine? If that’s you, then Coca Cola has something special you might be interested in. It’s a caffeine combo that might make you extra productive, keep you up for three straight days, or give you the jitters for a day and a half.

On Monday, Coke started selling two new products, Coca Cola with Coffee and Coca-Cola with Coffee Zero Sugar. They are available in the ready-to-drink aisles in retails establishments around the country and are both infused with Brazilian coffee.

According to Brandan Strickland, the brand director for Coca-Cola Trademark, his company solved a major problem facing a huge segment of the population in need of a serious jolt.  “Many people are often torn between reaching for a soft drink or a coffee at 3 p.m. at work, at school or on the go. Now, you don’t need to leave Coca-Cola to get your coffee fix.”

Coca-Cola with Coffee is available in three different flavors.  You can go with Vanilla, Caramel, or the mysterious sounding Dark Blend. The zero-sugar, zero-calorie drink comes in Dark Blend or Vanilla.

Now, as far as the caffeine quantities. Coke says a 12-ounce cans has 69 mg of caffeine.  That’s a little less than half the caffeine that’s in a can of Coke, which has 34 mg, or Diet Coke, which contains 46 mg.

Both are less than an average cup of joe, which packs 95 mg of a caffeinated punch.

If you think Coca-Cola tried this before, you’re right.  Back in 2006 they released Coca Cola Blak. It lasted less than two years, although some say the aftertaste from it is still with them.
