Trevor Lawrence is very likely one of the rare “can’t miss” prospects in the National Football League draft.

It happens every few years or so. You just know it.

The Clemson quarterback is worth an investment – be it financial, from teams expecting great things or in the trading card industry.

First, he’s gonna get paid. Lawrence is the consensus No. 1 pick, and the Jacksonville Jaguars have not indicated they intend to do anything other than draft Lawrence with the coveted top pick.

Second, talent evaluators agree that Lawrence has all the tools to be a transcendent player capable of leading a team to the Super Bowl title.

And, finally, he’s blessed with myriad business opportunities, the first of which is with Topps trading cards – and his family is all about helping him out.

Lawrence will offer a 50-piece exclusive set, with 20 pieces to be designed by his brother, Chase, and sister-in-law, Brooke, both professional artists.

“I’m excited to be working with Topps on this really unique set,” Lawrence said. “Chase and Brooke are extremely talented artists, and it’s special to collaborate with them on these custom designs.”

At least the youthful artists are extending an olive branch to those who came before Lawrence. The set will take its cues from prior Topps designs, autographed items and the all-important-for-the-future digital depictions. (See: NFTs.)

The release date for the project is to be determined, but Topps set the artificial deadline as before the April 29 draft.

Demand is likely to be immense.

And who better to speak for the upside than Lawrence’s marketing agent?

“There are so many things that make Trevor unique, including his incredibly talented family, and Topps was the right partner to bring that to life,” said Alan Zucker, who is also an Excel Sports Management partner.
