It’s not easy being a restaurant owner these days, and they deserve everyone’s support.

The government’s shutdowns have destroyed thousands of businesses.  And if that isn’t bad enough, the food delivery apps charge such enormous fees for their service that it drives the profit margins for family-owned eateries even smaller.

Kudos to any restaurant owner who comes up with a way to move the needle with publicity or a great promotion, and that includes Good Fortune Burger.

They cleverly re-named some of their more popular menu items with the names of common office tools.

Why? So patrons who go there  can more easily get a lunch approved on their expense reports.

Not 100% honest, but the restaurant said it was all for fun anyway.  Translation; if you’re stupid enough to slip it past your accounts payable department, you probably deserve to get caught.

“We just wanted an opportunity to put a smile on some people’s faces and have them have a little bit of a giggle. “There’s no malice intended in it, it’s all just fun and games,” said Jon Purdy, Director of Operations.

So what are their burgers new names?

Under their #RECEATS lunch menu campaign, their popular Fortune Burger has become a “Basic Steel Stapler.”

If you’re craving Parm Fries, your expense report will instead say you spent $8 on a “CPU Wireless Mouse.”

My favorite is the Diamond Chicken Burger, which they changed the name to “Mine Dry Eraser Whiteboard.”  That’s cleverl.

Others are the formerly known as Build Your Own Burger which is now the “Silicone Keyboard Cover,”  and the previously labeled Emerald Veggie Burger, now going by the name “Wired Earphones with Mic.”
