Tom Brady is 43-years old.  Patrick Mahomes’ father is 50. The age discrepancy between the two legendary quarterbacks is one of the amazing things about the Super Bowl.

Consider this, Brady’s first appearance in a Super Bowl was in 2002, when he led the Patriots to a win over the Rams in Brady’s second season. Patrick Mahomes was in first grade.

The numbers and milestones just get more and more incredible as Brady does things that have no chance of ever being equaled. At 43, he is the only quarterback to ever play in the Super Bowl at the age of 40, and this is the second time he’s done it.

He will try to break a record he’s already set, and broken twice, as being the oldest quarterback to play in the big game and wi it.  He did it at the age of 39 and 41.

Here’s an unbelievable stat, courtesy of Kevin Connolly, owner of Action Park Media and former star of the HBO hit show Entourage.

Brady is playing in his 10th Super Bowl this weekend. He’s been in the NFL for 21 seasons, meaning he’s finished 47% of his the years he’s played in the league in the Super Bowl. Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors is the greatest 3-point shooter in the history of the NBA. He makes 43% of those shots. Which means Tom Brady has a better chance of commencing a season in the Super Bowl than Steph Curry has of making a 3-pointer.

Let that sink in for a while.
