The news Apple lovers have been waiting a long time for finally came today, as Apple set the date for its latest iPhone debut. On Tuesday at 10 a.m. Pacific Time and 1 p.m. Eastern Time, Apple CEO Tim Cook will unveil what’s believed to be called the iPhone 12. There is no official word on the price or when it will go on sale, but there are rumors galore floating around about every conceivable aspect of this much-desired new phone, including the fact that it will come with superfast 5G wireless connectivity.

A telling clue as to what might be in store with the new phone is the invitation Apple sent out. It usually includes some clues, and the invite this year has this perhaps telling bit of greeting: “Hi, Speed.”

Apple will have to shoot for being the best new device with 5G connectivity, because they won’t be the first. Google, Motorola and Samsung have already unleashed their versions.

The iPhone event Tuesday will be held entirely online and streamed via Apple’s website.
