Donald Trump has lost a Twitter follower. His name is Jack Dorsey, the founder and CEO of the tweet factory who reportedly also stopped following a slew of other politicians and political figures, including Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Ivanka Trump.

The Twitter account @BigTechAlert follows tech leaders closely, and it was first to report of Dorsey’s defection from one of the current and future leaders of the free worlds social stream of consciousness.

Dorsey has company in un-following President Trump; since Nov. 17, almost 370,000 Twitter users have dumped Trump, while during that same time period Biden has gained over 2.5 million followers.

It will be interesting to watch what happens with Trumps tweets after he leaves office. Even though many of his tweets come with disclaimers, now whenever Trump mentions something like voter fraudin one of his posts, he still receives special protections that are allowed for the POTUS. Those disappear after the inauguration.

Theres a huge discrepancy in the number of total followers for Trump and Biden. The current president still has 88.5 million, while even with his influx of newbies, Biden is lagging far behind at 21.6 million. Some might say Biden doesnt need social media to convey his message, because the mainstream media does such a good job of it on a daily basis.
