President Trump’s team of lawyers fighting the results of the November 3 Presidential Election have had to be extremely nimble. There’s no roadmap laid out that anyone else has tried before, and they are facing a serious uphill battle.
On Friday, a federal appeals court refused to hear the Trump campaign’s appeal of the lawsuit they had filed, challenging the results in Pennsylvania.
In Wisconsin, Republicans spent $3 million for a recount of votes in Milwaukee County, and after it was done it actually increased Biden’s margin of victory in that state by 132 votes.
Earlier in the week, Trump’s legal team had to essentially disassociate themselves from Sidney Powell, who had embarrassed the attorneys doing the real work on the ground with over-the-top claims of voter fraud that were never proven.
Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s personal attorney, and the leader of the legal team fighting for Trump knows they are running out of time. He told Newsmax TV that the next stage in their strategy is to lobby state legislatures in key states to assert their authority in determining the electors for the Electoral College. ”We’re doing both, with equal speed and enthusiasm and taking advantage of which one gives us the hearing the quickest. And which one will work fastest for us,” Giuliani said. ”Because we don’t have a lot of time. We’ve got a lot of evidence; we don’t have a lot of time. And we’re facing a major censorship, so it’s very hard to get this information out to the public.”
Judging by the lack of success Giuliani and his team have had so far, this current strategy seems bleak, but the former Mayor of New York City is holding out hope, telling Newsmax there’s more that will be revealed soon. “The public has only a small idea of the kind of evidence we have.”
