Elon Musk said something Wednesday that might have led him down the path of being permanently censored by Twitter if he didn’t have an offer to buy the company.

He tweeted that he is no longer on the fence on the left with his political leanings. He proclaimed loud and clear that he is voting Republican going further, and he has a primary reason why.

“In the past I voted Democrat because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold,” Musk wrote, adding a popcorn emoji to his tweet.”

At one point, Musk has been described as a libertarian, but this would appear to complete his move from left of center to center, to right of center to now being a Republican. It may spark a similar trend for Americans with common sense who can see the attempted transformation of the country led by the current President.

Musk made it clear when he spoke at a conference that not only does he identify as a Republican now, he will be voting that way. “I would classify myself as a moderate, neither Republican nor Democrat.  I have voted overwhelmingly for Democrats, historically. Like I’m not sure, I might never have voted for a Republican, just to be clear, now this election I will.”

Not sure if this is related to his newfound political status, but Tesla has been removed from the S&P 500 ESG Index. ESG stands for “environmental, social, and governance,” It supposedly identifies companies to invest in for socially conscious investors. Musk called ESG “an outrageous scam that has been weaponized by phony social justice warriors.”
