You know how hot dog vendors and guys who sell cheap t-shirts usually congregate outside a stadium at big sporting events?  There should be a kiosk for every major bank and lending institution camped near SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles Sunday because some people will need to take out a loan not only to get into the stadium with a ticket but to park their car too.

A ticket for Super Bowl 56 is the most expensive in history. We’ve known that for a while, but wait until you hear how costly it’s going to be to park.

Stubhub lists parking passes fans can buy aftermarket, and the cheapest on the site Saturday was for $370. And that lot was over a mile from SoFI Stadium.  It will be close to 90 degrees in LA on Sunday, so that should be fun hoofing it for 30 minutes to get to the entrance.

There are parking passes that are listed for $4,200. There’s one for a parking spot at Hollywood Park Casino listed at $5000.

City officials in Inglewood advise people to take public transportation, which should be interesting because most people in LA don’t even know there is public transportation.

Here’s what the NFL chief security officer Cathy Lanier told the press this week.

“There will be no additional parking available at the stadium, so your options are going to include shuttles, rideshares, metro or walking. ”

Uber and Lyft rides have been extremely costly this week, with surge price turning a ride that would usually be $35 into $140.

The bottom line; it’s going to set you back a few bucks to see the Super Bowl in person.
