No Guts, No Glory, No Host. The 2021 Oscar’s Will Be A Safe, Sanitized, No Offend Zone.

Nobody is good enough – or acceptable to all parties concerned – to take on the role of singular host for the 2021 Oscars show.

According to Deadline, the April 25 broadcast is going without a primary host and will use a collection of presenters, the roster of which is still in development.

Producers for the annual Super Bowl of entertainment have made offers to talent to present the categories for the 93rd Oscarcast.

If they are willing to commit to the process, these high-profile presenters will dispense the awards on a rotating basis.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Oscarcast producers have not given away any details, but Deadline already broke the news, via sources, that the majority of the show would be broadcast from Union Station, the downtown Los Angeles railway venue large enough to socially distance the nominees and their families.

Subsequently, the Academy confirmed those plans before announcing the nominees.

The outlet also reported that the Dolby Theatre would be involved, likely for performances.

Only eight movies received nominations for best picture this year, with “The Father,” “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “The Trial of the Chicago 7,” “Promising Young Woman” and “Sound of Metal” joining “Minari,” “Nomadland” and “Mank.”

An Academy Awards record nine actors of color were nominated across the four acting categories: Viola Davis and Andra Day for best actress; Steven Yeun, Riz Ahmed and Chadwick Boseman for best actor; LaKeith Stanfield, Daniel Kaluuya and Leslie Odom Jr. for best supporting actor; and Yuh-Jung Youn for best supporting actress.

In another nod to diversity, Emmy Award winner Jesse Collins will produce the how with Stacey Sher and acclaimed filmmaker Steven Soderbergh.
