Prove It! Elon Musk Will Donate $6 Billion To Solve Hunger Crisis If UN Can Back Up Their Claim. 

Talk about putting his  money where their mouth is.

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man with a fortune that has eclipsed $300 billion, had a response to David Beasley, the director of the United Nation’s World Food Program who said last week that $6 billion would save 42 million people that literally were going to die without help. 

Musk is the one billionaire who has officially stepped up, saying he will sell Tesla stock and donate the proceeds under one condition; the UN can prove that a fraction of his wealth could save tens of millions of starving people. 

While it’s easy to get headlines with bold claims and politicians do it all the time, Musk challengedo Beasley to prove there’s actual data behind his statement. 

Another condition that Musk would demand is transparency about how the money would be spent, which would expose the UN or whoever else is involved if they don’t use the money efficiently. 

It’s a brilliant move by Musk.  His entire communication and Beasley’s response is on a Twitter thread on Musk’s feed. 

Beasley got excited by Musk’s response, telling him “I can assure you that we have the systems in place for transparency and open source accounting. Your team can review and work with us to be totally confident of such.”

We’ll see. 

$6 billion would amount to 2% of Musk’s net worth. He’s willing to step up if the UN can show that they could actually deliver the relief efficiently.
