Piers Morgan, citing a “diatribe of bilge,” really isn’t a Meghan Markle fan.

Morgan walked off the set of Good Morning Britain and expressed anger and exasperation about the Markle’s recent revelations.

A day following that Monday tantrum – after which Britain’s ITV announced Morgan would not be back as a co-host – Morgan wrote on Twitter:

“On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, OK. Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more time with my opinions.”

Morgan reiterated his contempt outside his home on Wednesday while speaking with Sky News.

“I don’t believe almost anything that comes out of her mouth … If I have to fall on my sword for expressing an honestly-held opinion about Meghan Markle and that diatribe of bilge that she came out with in that interview, so be it.”

Morgan, on Monday’s Good Morning Britain, discussed Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, during which Markle, who married Prince Harry in 2018, said she felt suicidal because of what she believed was racist treatment from the British media.

Morgan reacted: “Who did you go to (for help)? What did they say to you? I don’t believe a word she says, Meghan Markle. I wouldn’t believe her if she read me a weather report.”

Co-host Susanna Reid, wasn’t having it.

“That’s a pathetic reaction to someone who has expressed those thoughts,” she said.

Markle reportedly made a formal complaint to ITV, and the U.K. media regulator Ofcom launched an investigation into Morgan’s comments after receiving more than 41,000 complaints. Mental health organizations have also publicly criticized his comments.
