Mainstream media outlets have waited four years to make the announcement that Donald Trump is no longer the president, and many of them went with that narrative on Saturday morning, declaring Joe Biden the winner of the presidential election and 46th president of the United States.

CNN, USA Today, MSNBC and others proclaimed that Biden eclipsed the needed 270 Electoral College votes, courtesy of a win in Pennsylvania, and some media outlets have declared Biden the winner in Nevada as well. If that was the case, it would add 26 Electoral College votes and bring Biden to 290.

President Trump has not conceded anything and sent out a tweet at 10:36 AM on Saturday, before the national news outlets started to give the win to Biden, that said “I WON THIS ELECTION, BY A LOT!” Expect legal challenges to continue and intensify.

If it turns out Biden has in fact won, than Trump would be the first incumbent president to lose reelection since George H. W. Bush in 1992.
