Mark Zuckerberg acts like a robot.  That’s according to him; he’s acknowledged in the past that he can be robotic, so during an interview recently, a podcast host wanted the Meta CEO to prove he’s not.

How’d he do it? He asked him to complete a CAPTCHA; you know where you look at the grid of images and select the traffic lights?

Computer scientist Lex Fridman is the podcaster with the biting wit. His episode with Zuck was published Monday, and they talked about all kinds of things, including Zuckerberg’s favorite subject, the meters, as well as the dangers of social media.

The interview was done face to face, and in the middle of it, Fridman asked the all-important question.

“Can you circle all the traffic lights, please?”

Zuck not only proved he’s human by circling the correct squares, but he also showed he has a bit of a sense of humor too.

At least Fridman thought it was funny. “You actually did it. That is a very impressive performance.”

Back in 2019, during an interview with Lester Holt of NBC, the anchor asked the CEO if he felt he was the best communicator for Facebook.  It was then that Zuck admitted he might not be. “Historically, I’ve had a tough time expressing myself. I just come across as robotic. This is one of the things that… I’m growing up; I need to get better at, in running this company.”

Self-awareness and a sense of humor.  Not a bad combo.
