Over two months ago, Will Smith strolled to center stage at the Oscars and slapped Chris Rock across the face.  You may have heard about that. Well, since then, Rock started a very successful comedy tour, Will has needed all the free time he could get to monitor how many projects he was involved in that have disappeared, and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith got involved in the fray by talking about the incident on her Red Table Talk show.

Here’s part of what she said on her show.

“Now, about Oscar night, my deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile. The state of the world today, we need them both. And we all actually need one other more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring this thing called life together.”

If you are a fan of Jada Pinkett Smith, you are probably wowed by her perspective. If you don’t like her, you might be thinking, “hmm, isn’t your husband part of the reason the world is in the state it is today?”

As for Rock’s thoughts on her “deepest hopes? According to Entertainment Tonight, Chris could care less.

“He’s not concerned with the Smiths at the moment. He’s touring, and he’s preparing for a comedy special.”

Chris Rock has turned the page and is focusing on what he does best; entertain America. He doesn’t seem interested in “reconciling” with a man that physically assaulted him in a way that could and maybe should have gotten him arrested.
