Between working with Ice Cube and now being endorsed by superstar 50-Cent, Donald Trump may be having his best week ever among the rap community. 50-Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III, took to Instagram to offer up his support for Donald Trump after seeing figures related to Joe Biden’s proposed tax plan.

The 45-year old hip-hop mogul shared an image from what looked like a news broadcast displaying the “top tax rates by state under the Biden tax plan.” New York was mentioned as having a 58% rate, while New York City would be taxed at 62%. “WHAT THE F–K! (VOTE ForTRUMP) IM OUT, NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway.” Jackson wrote along with the picture.

Jackson was born in Queens and in an interview in May with The Guardian, he discussed President Trump’s response to the coronavirus, “It’s an awkward situation. If you respond too fast, you’re wrong, because everyone would be kicking and screaming and saying you shut everything down. But if you shut it down late, you’re wrong. So you can’t win in that situation.” 50 went on to say that he see’s parallels between his life and Trump’s. “People hate him or love him. There’s no in-between. And for me, I’m looking at it and going: ‘That’s the exact position I’m in.’”

This actually isn’t 50-cent’s first endorsement of Trump. In 2016, before the election, he posted a photo of the two of them together and said “Me and My President maybe, only in America.”
