As COVID-19 continues to surge across much of the U.S., lockdowns are once again returning, and if Joe Biden has his way, you will most likely see plenty more locking down in the coming months.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson took an opportunity to point out that the lockdowns are not about protecting you from COVID, they are about a power-hungry political class that is using the coronavirus as a weapon to gain more control. Something they have dubbed “The Great Reset.”
Carlson argued that if masks and lockdowns prevented spikes in coronavirus infections then we really shouldn’t be seeing spikes in infections after nine months of masks and lockdowns.
Tucker also pointed to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who flat out told the United Nations that the pandemic offered an opportunity for a power grab. Trudeau said, “This pandemic has provided an opportunity for a reset. This is our chance to accelerate our pre-pandemic efforts to reimagine economic systems that actually address global challenges like extreme poverty, inequality and climate change.”
Klaus Schwab, the founder of the World Economic Forum, is another person Carlson pointed to looking for The Great Reset. “How do you know that’s what Klaus wants? He wrote a book called “COVID-19: The Great Reset,” which describes “what changes will be needed to create a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable world going forward.”
In recent months, the double standards of politicians have been glaring. From Nancy Pelosi getting her hair done in locked down San Francisco to Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot celebrating in the streets with Biden supporters to California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who dined with a dozen other people at one of the most expensive restaurants in California while keeping his state in lockdown.
Tucker pointed out that the leaders getting caught breaking their own rules at one point would have been a problem, but these political elites are no longer humiliated by their own hypocrisy. As Tucker said, “The point of the exercise is to humiliate the rest of us by forcing us to obey transparently absurd orders.”
For power hungry and hypocritical politicians looking to gain more control through “The Great Reset,” it looks like 2021 could potentially be setting up to be a sequel to 2020.
