The Rams and Chargers played the entire 2020 NFL season in their brand new $5 billion SoFi Stadium without fans.

Now that the doors are open for spectators, some meatheads looking for mayhem made up for lost time by throwing down in a vicious brawl that security all but ignored for the first few minutes.

Keep in mind, it’s not like the Rams and Charger fans really care about each other or are threatened by each other. The Rams are the dominant NFL team in Los Angeles, and the Raiders, who are in Las Vegas, are second.

So, what could have possibly triggered this epic fight?

Clearly beer was involved. Both the consumption of it, and the tossing of it.

In the second quarter, a Rams fan with an Aaron Donald jersey on had a glass of beer thrown at him.

At that point it was on.  Donald jersey guy started smacking people in front of him, and that’s when the stadium stands resembled the Octagon at a UFC fight.  A handful of fans jumped Donald jersey guy, and then another fight broke out.

All in all almost as much blood as beer was spilled as the fight was long, and featured haymakers, kicks and jabs.

Security eventually got around to stopping it, and the 70,000 fans who weren’t thrown out watched the rest of the game.

Not that it mattered, but the Chargers won the cross-town battle 13-6.
