Nancy Pelosi did not hold back in an interview scheduled to air on “60 Minutes” Sunday night. Knowing that President Trump will be out of office in a week and a half, and her fellow Democrats will have full control of the government, Pelosi felt comfortable unleashing a brutal, and personal attack against Trump that shows the country is far from healing, moving on, or being anything but divided as a new President is about to take office.

How bad was it? Pelosi called Trump “deranged, unhinged, dangerous and deserving of prosecution.”

The interview was conducted after Wednesday’s riot at the Capitol building.  Lesly Stahl of CBS News asked Pelosi if she felt anybody was running the executive branch of the government.  She was inferring that in her opinion, Trump may have abdicated his position. “Well, sadly, the person who’s running the executive branch is a deranged, unhinged, dangerous president of the United States,” Pelosi said in her response.

“And we’re only a number of days until we can be protected from him. But he has done something so serious that there should be prosecution against him.”

Pelosi also says in the interview that trying to remove Trump from office via the 25th Amendment is still on the table.

For the past four years, President Trump would be in front of an interview like this. Tweeting it “fake news” or doing a preemptive blast on Pelosi. But that is no longer possible, as he has been banned from all major social media sites.
