If you begin to notice a “glazed” expression across the faces of your donut-loving friends and family members on Saturday, it’s probably because they capitalized on a “Day of Dozens” deal from Krispy Kreme.
Saturday (12/12) is the annual celebration that brings big-time value along with the big-time calories.
Any dozen Krispy Kreme donuts purchased at the regular price qualifies the hungry consumer for a dozen more of the original glazed donuts for only a dollar.
What else can sugar connoisseurs expect? The donut chain’s Holiday Collection is another temptation available for a limited time. This special line of sweets includes a mouth-watering collection of Tree and Present donuts, as well as the curiously named “Santa Belly” donut.
This popular chain, headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, decided to strive for some extra credit. Krispy Kreme is offering up its “Hot Now” Light Up Sweater for the crazy-low price of $50.
Saturday’s sale is valid at participating locations across the nation; but, perhaps in a nod to physical fitness, it is not valid for online orders. You’ll have to move a little bit to bring home the goods.
Further showing its civic responsibility, Krispy Kreme is limiting the orders to two special deals per customer. Everything can be good in moderation.
“There are dozens of reasons why it’s extra important to share joy this year,” Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer, told USA TODAY. “On 12/12, we’re making it easy and delicious to celebrate someone you know on the ‘nice list.’”
