Floyd Mayweather should stop fighting, and open a business school. He could teach three classes per week: marketing, promotion, and sales.

Opening the school wouldn’t cost him a penny, because he’d have 40 top brands throwing money at him to secure signage, and he could offset other costs by broadcasting his classes on pay-per-view.

Mayweather is a tactical genius. He was in the ring in his prime as a boxer, and he continues to be as a businessman.

How do I know this? Because he made about $65 million for shoving Logan Paul around a ring for an hour earlier this month…

Has anyone had a more apt nickname than Floyd “Money” Mayweather? The numbers are in from his fight with Logan Paul and they are frankly staggering, especially when you consider how underwhelming the fight was.

Mayweather was guaranteed a flat-rate of $10 million just to not be abducted by aliens or Jake Paul goons and show up for the fight.

He did that.  So that’s $10 million already made, but wait, there’s more.

Prior to June 6, Mayweather was already bragging that he had made $30 million, most likely via endorsement deals, appearance fees and promotion.

After the fight, it was time to count the number of ppv buys. That number was 1 million purchases at $50 bucks apiece, with Money Mayweather set to take home half of that fortune.

So, add another $25 million the growing pot of gold, and the final number for a night or so of work for Mayweather was $65 million.

Joe Montana played 15 seasons in the NFL and made a total of $25.5 million.

Troy Aikman spent 12 seasons in a Dallas Cowboys uniform earned $55.5 million.

John Elway played 16 grueling seasons in the NFL for a total of $45.5 million.

Did I mention Floyd’s fight with Logan Paul lasted 24 minutes?

Here’s a final stat that will blow your mind.

Starting in 1789, the U.S. Constitution laid out the specifics for how the President of the United States would be paid. The President’s salary from 1789 to 1873 was $25,000 per year.

In 1789, the salary for the leader of the free world was doubled to $50,000. There were subsequent pay raises in 1909, 1949, 1969 and 2001.  The pay raises from that point on put the President’s income at $75,000, then $100,000, $200,000 and the current payroll of $400K per year.

So, in the history of the United States, the 46 Presidents have drawn a total amount of salary of $23.3 million. Less than Mayweather’s cut of the pay-per-view in his fight with a YouTube celebrity.
