Did Logan and Jake Paul’s parents give their kids any attention while they were growing up?

That’s one way of looking at things in the fight world now, the other is the two Paul boys are very shrewd, very smart marketing wizards and we’ll soon find out how good of boxers they are too.

Logan Paul is set to take on not only a real fighter, but a boxer who some regard as pound-fo- pound, the greatest boxer of all time.

Floyd Mayweather has agreed to step into a ring at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on June 6, and take on the older Paul brother in a pay-per-view fight on Showtime.

Mayweather confirmed it on Instagram Tuesday night. “Logan Paul and I are going to fight at Hard Rock Stadium. Mayweather Promotions, Fanmio and Showtime will team up to give you an epic event.”

There’s no doubt it will be memorable.  For Logan Paul’s sake, hopefully it won’t be because he leaves in an ambulance.

The announcement on Tuesday left out quite a few details. Such as how many rounds they will fight, and what size gloves they will wear.

The resumes of the two “fighters” is what you would call in the sports world “one sided.”

Mayweather is 50-0, with 27 knockouts.  He’s never lost. The problem is he is 44 years old, retired and hasn’t fought since he beat Conor McGregor in a 10-round TKO back in 2017.

Logan Paul steps into the ring with an all-time record of 0-1. He lost a split decision to another YouTube star named KSI a year-and-a-half ago.

While it is truly a mismatch on paper, what happens in the ring is an unknown, simple because Logan Paul is six inches taller than Floyd, and when they ring the bell this summer he might outweigh him by 50 pounds.  That will count for something.

The fight is less than two months away. Jake Paul better get to work out-staging his big bro.
