He might be the most eligible bachelor in the world now, but there are strings attached.
The New York Times reported that Elon Musk and his long-time girlfriend Grimes are officially broken up.
While Elon is worth $194 billion, and on top of his own private jet he actually owns rocket ships, there are some down sides for any prospective new girlfriend.
For one thing, he’s a workaholic, so you might not see him that much. On top of that he lives in Austin, Texas, which narrows the field a little bit.
Musk confirmed that he is “semi-separated” from the Canadian singer, but he told the Post that they get along and will share parenting duties of their one year old son named X Æ A-Xii Musk.
“We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms.
“It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.”
They had been together since May of 2018, and actually went to the Met Gala together earlier in September. But Grimes walked the red carpet alone that night.
Musk has been married three previous times. He and his ex-wife Justine Wilson have five sons, and he was married twice to actress Talulah Riley.
Elon can watch his ex on television, as Grimes will be a judge on a Fox show called Alter Ego.
