Who says you can’t go home again?  Donald Trump just spent a couple low key days in New York City examining his family businesses with his son Donald Jr., and just as quickly as he slipped into the Big Apple on Sunday, he bounced out Tuesday afternoon less than 48-hours later.

This was the first time Trump had gone back to NYC since he’s been a former president since January 20, and the way it was described, this trip was to “look under the hood” of his businesses, as prosecutors in New York continue to investigate.

Monday night, the Manhattan district attorney subpoenaed papers from a company that invested in a skyscraper built in Chicago by Trump.

After arriving to Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue flanked by Secret Service Sunday, Trump didn’t leave the building until he walked out of Trump Tower and into a waiting motorcade.

Since it’s Trump, you know there was hoopla surrounding the visit, and he waved to a crowd that had gathered by the car as he departed.

The New York Daily News said in a report that the former President returned to New York to get the low downs on the ins and outs of his business, as multiple state prosecutors seem to be zeroing in with separate investigations.

A source was quoted in the story saying “he’s quite curious about his businesses and his employees, his organization, and is eager to look under the hood. He’s not entirely sure of the role he will play, but he misses it, for sure.”
