Dolly Parton is a sweet southern belle who’s been charming American audiences and building a worldwide fan base for over 50 years.

While she is lovable and charming, don’t underestimate the fire burning inside her that’s allowed her to become a global icon.  She’s as driven as any entertainer we’ve seen in our lifetime, and that drive has propelled her to be named by Forbes Magazine as one of America’s Richest Self-Made Women.

She’s a nonstop whirlwind of energy, constantly finding ways to monetize her music and proving to be an astute businesswoman.

Want an example? She wrote, and owns the rights to the song “I will always love you,” and even though Elvis put extreme pressure on her to sell the song she held out, and has made millions off of it.

She also invested $1 million with Maderna, which helped create their COVID-19 vaccine.

Her two most recent money moves include putting $500 million in her Dollywood resort in Tennessee, and launching her own fragrance line.

Here’s what Forbes says in their latest issue about Dolly. “In a year when most of the music industry slowed down, the country singer and co-owner of amusement park Dollywood was busier than ever. She wrote a song inspired by her experience during the pandemic, released her first holiday album in 30 years and starred in a Netflix film, Christmas on the Square.”

In all, Dolly is worth $350 million, with a big chunk of it coming not from her music, but from Dollywood, which has fans from around the globe streaming there year round.

Doilly moved to Nashville at the age of 18 way back in 1964, and has been wowing crowds ever since.
