Former President Trump has never gone this long away from the public eye and glare of the daily news cycle.

He might be getting bored. Fox News reported that Trump will be starting a new PAC (Political Action Committee) and he’s figured out who he wants running it.  Corey Lewandowski, his rough and tough political advisor who was Trump’s campaign manager in 2016 before eventually being fired.

The report said Trump gathered his political team to Mar-a-Lago last week and came up with his post-presidency plans.

Jason Miller, an advisor to Trump was quoted in the Fox story saying Trump’s followers are going to like what they hear.  “MAGA supporters and candidates supporting President Trump’s America First agenda are going to be impressed with the political operation being built out here.

“We expect formal announcements of the full team in the coming weeks, which will include some very talented operatives not yet named.”

For anyone thinking 18 holes of golf and tons of sunshine each day was going to be enough to satisfy Trump, it looks like you may want to think again. It’s becoming clear he wants to be the dominant figure in Republican politics, and he’s putting his support behind challengers of house members who didn’t have his back when he was President.

A little post presidential political payback.

Trump is scheduled to speak Sunday at the Conservative Political action Conference in Orlando, and it won’t be surprising if he mentions his plans for the 2024 presidential election.
