It probably wouldn’t be a horrible idea for a lawyer to tell actors with the last name of Baldwin to stop talking about the horrible tragedy that claimed the life of cinematographer Halyha Hutchins.

Most of the world knows what happened last month when Alec Baldwin fired a loaded gun at her on the set of the movie “Rust,” which Baldwin was set to star in and produce.

Alec’s brother Daniel apparently thought he was helping his big bro by going on the podcast called The Domenick Nati Show, and insisted that Alec had no blame for the tragedy because of failed protocols by other people on the set.

“Alec is being attacked because of what because of his political views,” Daniel said.

Daniel Baldwin went further, blaming the armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed for loading the gun with live ammunition instead of blanks. Also at fault, according to Daniel Baldwin was assistant director Dave Halls, who told everyone on set that the gun was “cold,” meaning he was signing off on the fact that the gun was safe to fire.

Here’s another quote from Daniel.

“A number of protocols that have been made known to the public and known in this case exonerate Alec of any responsibility at all.”

Interesting, since there is no evidence that Daniel Baldwin has taken over the role of District Attorney in Santa Fey County in New Mexico.  That person in real life is Mary Carmack-Altwies, and she has said nobody has been ruled out as far as being responsible.

Here’s one more quote from Daniel Baldwin.

“You know Alec’s got the name though doesn’t he, so let’s go ahead and take Alec for his political views and the many, many wonderful things he’s done for different charities and people and his wife and let’s see if we can’t sensationalize this and go after Alec.”
