Joe Rogan is the most popular podcast host on the planet. He is not a doctor.  But while he might not sport any degrees in medicine, his advice regarding treating COVID-19 is something that many people are interested in.

Including UFC president Dana White.

The 52-year-old White contracted COVID over Thanksgiving, and he is taking advice on how to deal with it from Rogan.

White said that after returning from Maine, where they celebrated Thanksgiving, his whole family tested positive for COVID.

According to the website MMA Fighting, White knew something was up Sunday when he lost his sense of smell after taking his daily cold plunge and steam.

“I get out of the cold plunge, and I get in the steam, and I spray the eucalyptus and I couldn’t smell anything, So I open the bottle, I start sniffing the bottle of eucalyptus, and I’m like yeah, I got no smell. So you know what this means. I literally got out of the steam, picked up my phone and called Joe Rogan.”

Rogan has worked as a broadcaster for years for the UFC, so it makes sense that White would reach out to him.  By the way, White is the second most famous person to seek COVID advice from Rogan.  Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said he was getting recovery advice from Rogan when he tested positive for COVID last month.

White is hoping he can recover and test negative soon so that he can be on hand for the big fight card Saturday in Vegas.

“Listen, I’m vaccinated. It’s not like I’m some crazy anti-vax conspiracy theorist or some of that stuff, but Rogan is a very brilliant guy. Very smart guy who talks to the best and the brightest out there and I’m not a believer in the narrative. But at the end of the day, this is a free country. Cause what happens when you get this stuff, they tell you stay home for the next 10 days until you don’t test positive. That doesn’t seem smart to me. Just like when we went through COVID, I believe in finding solutions to problems and answers.”
