Tom Brady just won his seventh Super Bowl. He’s the GOAT.  He’s also not in the top 10 of highest paid quarterbacks in the NFL.

Ryan Tannehill, Jared Goff, Carson Wentz and Kirk Cousins make more per season than Brady.

And now, after the Dallas Cowboys signed their quarterback Zack Prescott to a 4-year, $160 million contract on Monday night he’ll make way more money than Brady too.

Oh, but it gets crazier.  Prescott is now the second-highest paid quarterback in the entire league with his $40 million  per season average.  The only QB that will make more is someone who deserves it, Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs after his new contract kicks in.

Brady owns over 60 all-time NFL records, and 15 all-time Super Bowl records, some that will never, ever be broken.

Dak Prescott now owns one all-time NFL record all to himself; the largest signing bonus in history, a staggering $66 million.  Courtesy of Jerry Jones and the Cowboys.

Prescott is also coming off a horrible leg injury, a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle, and he wasn’t able to finish the 2020 season.

They do things big in Texas, and this qualifies. It’s the biggest contract ever for an NFL player, with a mind blowing $126 million of it guaranteed! If Prescott flops, then it will go down as the biggest mistake Jerry Jones has made since he bought the team.

Hey, congrats to Prescott, because your value is what someone is willing to pay you, and he clearly had some leverage that he was able to use to lock in this long-term deal.

But come on, even though Prescott has produced some good stats in his five seasons, the team has missed the playoffs in three of the last four seasons.

If Brady were to be compensated based on the Dak Prescott criteria, he’d be worth almost as much as the new school teacher husband of Jeff Bezos’ ex-wife McKenzie Scott.
