50 Cent flipped. A few days after essentially endorsing President Trump because of fears of how much money he’d be spending on taxes if Joe Biden were to win the election, the rapper changed his tune big-time on Sunday, tweeting an expletive to describe Trump, then saying, “I never liked him. for all I know he had me set up and had my friend Angel Fernandez killed, but that’s history. LOL.”

Talk about an about-face. From validating Trump’s tax policy and showing no fear of potential Hollywood backlash for doing the unthinkable to making a veiled accusation of Trump participating in a murder. What happened? Well, his ex-girlfriend Chelsea Handler might be wielding a lot of power and influence over her ex. Along with the tweet, 50 Cent posted a video of an interview “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon did with Handler.

“He doesn’t want to pay 62% of taxes, because he doesn’t want to go from 50 Cent to 20 Cent,” Handler said on the show. “I had to remind him that he was a black person, so he can’t vote for Donald Trump, and that he shouldn’t be influencing an entire swath of people who may listen to him because he’s worried about his own personal pocketbook.”

When it comes to the entertainment world, it’s automatic career suicide to show support for Trump. You’re done. You’d think a self-made icon like 50 Cent, who has survived multiple attacks on his life and has literally been shot several times, might be one person who really wouldn’t care what his showbiz peers felt about him, but apparently not. But then again, whom you vote for is private, and I guess there’s a chance that 50 Cent cares a little more about his current fortune than what an ex-girlfriend thinks about him.
