Bitcoin In Their Crosshairs: Ether, The World’s Second-Largest Cryptocurrency In Market Value Hits Their All-Time High Friday.

If you’re tired of Bitcoin getting all the sexy headlines, and you’ve had your fill of reports about Dogecoin, here’s another cryptocurrency you’re going to be hearing a lot about in the future. Ether, which took their turn Friday hitting their all-time high price.

Early Friday morning, CoinDesk reported that Ether, the world’s second-largest digital coin rose almost $5.00, landing at $1,720.

The investment world is looking forward to the launch of futures contracts for ether from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

While being second in market value sounds impressive, ether has a ways to go before it can start hanging in Bitcoin’s zip code, which hit their record high in January at $42,000.

Wait, all it would take is one tweet from Elon Musk saying he was a fan, and ether could make up that gap in two hours.
