Joe Biden is celebrating a birthday today, as the former vice president is possibly on his way to becoming the oldest president ever at the age of 78. Once sworn in, Biden would replace Ronald Reagan on the oldest of all-time list and beats him pretty easily as Reagan was 77 years and 349 days old when he left office. Biden will enter the Oval Office as the oldest ever and basically will continue to set the mark for the oldest ever, as long as he remains in office.

Throughout the presidential campaign, 74-year-old Donald Trump loved to point out Joe’s age and numerous gaffes, arguing that Joe lacked the mental capacity to be the Commander in Chief. Trump also loved to refer to Joe as “Sleepy Joe” for keeping such a light schedule during the campaign, while Trump stormed the country with rallies.

Sen. Kamala Harris is about 20 years younger than Biden, who up to this point has not ruled out running for a second term. Since 1960, the median age for presidents who have taken office is roughly 56 years old. Donald Trump was 70 years old when he was sworn in as president four years ago.

Of the five currently living presidents, Biden is only surpassed by Jimmy Carter, who is 96 and has lived longer than any U.S. president in history.

So, what does birthday Biden have planned for today? According to reports out of Washington D.C., Biden and Kamala Harris will hold in-person meetings with House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in Wilmington, Del.
