Joe Biden is now in Europe, his first overseas trip as President where he will participate in meetings with G7 and NATO leaders and even have a convo with Vladimir Putin about multiple issues.

He made an initial stop at an Air Force base in the UK, where he addressed personnel and in the process told them what he believes is the “greatest threat” to America’s national security .

If this were a game show, the logical choices on the board would be the following:

  • China
  • Russia
  • Internal division
  • Iran
  • Cyberattacks

If Biden were to have a meeting with Senator Ted Cruz, we might be able to even include alien attack as one of the top 5.

Biden didn’t mention any of those threats as being the greatest, instead he told his audience it was global warming that keeps him up most at night.

He referenced a meeting he had years ago as Vice President where he first felt the threat was at a Code Red level.

“When I went over to the tank in the Pentagon when I was first was elected vice president with President Obama, the military sat us down and let us know what the greatest threats facing America were, the greatest physical threats. This is not a joke. You know what the Joint Chiefs told us the greatest physical threat facing America was? Global warming.

“There will be significant population movements, fights over land, millions of people leaving places because they’re literally sinking below the sea in Indonesia, because of the fights over what is arable land anymore.”

Biden also said that while in Europe he would talk to fellow leaders about coming together on a plan to combat climate change.
