Are New iPads Coming? Word Is Apple Will Unleash An iPad Pro With Big Time Improvements.

Apple’s success during the pandemic was due in large part to the fact millions can’t get by without their iPhones.

But other products have ridden the wave, too, and the expanding market now has spurred Apple to bring its customers new iPads as soon as next month, Bloomberg reported.

Consistent with their need for stay-at-home devices during the long COVID-19 shutdown, people looking for electronics have turned to iPads, too. Over the 2020 holiday quarter, Apple took in $8.4 billion in iPad sales, up more than 42% from the previous year.

Despite no formal announcement of a spring launch in 2021, Apple plans to rollout a high-end iPad Pro line that may include tantalizing improvements.

With primary features such as improved cameras, a faster processor, and a new type of mini-LED display, this big one reportedly may come with improved brightness and contrast.

As far as price and size, the product will be the same sizes as the current 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros, according to the report. The 11-inch iPad Pro on the market now costs $799 and the larger model starts at $999.

Apple is moving the iPad Pro models closer to functioning as laptop replacements, including introducing mouse support and keyboard accessories like the $299 Magic Keyboard.

An added benefit, rumored in a story from Zacks Equity Research on Yahoo Finance, is that Apple tested the new iPads with Thunderbolt port, found in the latest Macs – which would allow connections with a deeper selection of monitors, hard drives and more.

Apple may also launch the entry-level iPad with design similar to iPad Air (third generation), per 9TO5 Mac, that cited a report by supply-chain outlet Macotakara. The display size is unchanged but it will be “much thinner at 6.3mm” and lighter.
