Apple Mac revenue was up 28% in 2021, not surprising with so many more people working from home. To tap into this hot market, TFI’s Ming-Chi-Kuo, a top Apple analyst, reported that Apple is planning on launching two brand new MacBook Pro models in 2021, with 14 and 16-inch screens.

Another feature that appears to be coming back on the Macbook is the MagSafe charging that the laptop used to be known for. It’s the cord that easily pops in and out, and won’t be destroyed if a kid or dog accidentally yanks the cord out of the computer. Apple brought the magnetic cubed  MagSafe charger back with the latest iPhone 12, and it’s a unique design for Apple products that users seem to love.

Another thing Kuo said to watch for is Apple plans to do away with the curved edges and will be bringing sharper lines into the design. The Touch Bar is also rumored to be going away. “The MacBook Pro has not changed the form factor design for five years,” Kuo said. “We believe that the launch of two all-new design MacBook Pro models in 3Q21 will attract consumers’ attention and boost the replacement demand.”

Kuo also predicted Apple will be raking in serious profits again on the Mac this year, noting MacBook shipments could grow by 25-30%.
