If you are a Prince fan miffed that he is not on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, take solace in the fact that Bruce Springsteen isn’t either.

If you are a Carrie Fisher fan upset about her Walk snub, just know that George Lucas does not have a pink star on Hollywood Boulevard either.

You could make a significant El Segundo Walk of Fame of stars who are not on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Who’s Who of who’s not there includes Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford, Al Pacino, Denzel Washington, Diane Keaton, Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Will Smith.

It seems appalling on the surface, but these exclusions are usually because the star chooses not to go through the extensive process or they were never nominated by a third party in the first place (hard to believe on the latter, right?).

The process to be enshrined on those 18 blocks starts with the nomination and continues with a signed consent letter, a guarantee to attend the ceremony (Springsteen was a no-show to enact this rule), a long application with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and a $40,000 payment for construction and maintenance.

Walk of Fame ceremonies have been suspended, with Anthony Anderson being the last celebration in August, when he became the 2,691st star. That was not long after Dr. Phil got his star earlier this year. But wait, it gets worse. Dr. Oz is getting one too.

The most work being done is around Donald Trump’s star, which recently had to have a wood plank placed over it and is surrounded by a steel barricade for those looking for a way to see him behind bars.
