No one ever said that Joe Biden selected Kamala Harris to be his running mate because she’s hip. The Trump campaign is having some fun at Harris’ expense tonight, as they reportedly left a ticket to the Vice Presidential Debate for the person Harris referred to as “the best rapper alive,” Tupac Shakur. The problem with that is that the hip-hop legend was killed in 1996.

CBS News reporter Nicole Sganga tweeted the details of this pop-culture blunder for the wannabe VP. “I asked the Trump campaign who Vice President Mike Pence is bringing to tonight’s debate. A spokesperson responded, ‘Tupac.’”

The person whom The Spectator magazine reported is the spokesperson is Trump’s senior campaign adviser, Jason Miller.

Harris made the embarrassing gaffe during the NAACP’s virtual convention last month. She was asked by Angela Rye of CNN who the “best rapper alive” is.

Nothing wrong with a little comic relief before the debate, because the 90-minute main event is going to be a little bit intense.
