The most busted name in news, this is CNN

CNN is getting called out for covering “breaking news” nearly two months after the stories initially started to surface. Former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell fired a shot across the bow of the left-leaning network and anchor Jake Tapper for finally reporting on the story that initially surfaced in the weeks leading up to the Nov. 3 election.

“This story broke in October. You didn’t do it then,” said Grenell, who then asked Tapper, “Were you instructed to ignore it until after the election?”

Grenell has plenty of evidence to back up his question to Tapper as recordings released by Project Veritas of CNN’s 9 a.m. morning news calls have revealed the network’s executives urging staff not to cover the stories circulating about the Bidens.

“Obviously, we’re not going with the New York Post story right now on Hunter Biden,” CNN Political Director David Chalian can be heard saying on one of the calls from Oct. 14.

CNN President Jeff Zucker called the Hunter Biden computer stories “unsubstantiated smears” on the Oct. 16 call. Apparently, it took the “most trusted name in news” almost two months to substantiate the “smears” as being factual.

Tapper and CNN were not interested in covering the Hunter-Biden stories in the month leading up to the election but now that Joe Biden has been elected, a month following the election the network is finally asking Joe questions about his son’s business dealings.

In an interview last week, Tapper asked Joe about his brothers and his son, Hunter, and whether they would “take leave from any business interests, not just foreign but any business interests, that might create even an appearance of impropriety?”

“My son, my family will not be involved in any business, any enterprise that is in conflict with or appears to be in conflict with an appropriate distance from the presidency and government,” Biden responded. Tapper quickly moved on to another topic after Joe’s answer.

CNN may finally be acknowledging the stories, but they sure don’t seem interested in actually uncovering anything.
