Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is not a fan of lockdowns, President-elect Joe Biden, Dr. Anthony Fauci or masks.

His stream of comments came on WABC’s “The CATS Roundtable with John Catsimatidis,” Newsmax TV’s “American Agenda” and Fox Business over the past week.

“Let’s hope, in this case, the court will intervene (on lockdowns),” Paul told Fox Business. “I’ve been calling my governor for months ‘DWP,’ drunk with power, because he’s taken this power without any consent from the legislature. … the edicts that are coming from the governor and from the governor of Michigan … they’re not based in any kind of science.”

Paul’s ire doesn’t stop at the state level. “I’m gonna do everything I can to try to prevent Biden from locking us up and locking us down and forcing us to wear masks forever,” Paul said on WABC. “Today, Biden’s talking more about a lockdown. This is absolutely why he’s gonna be a terrible president if we get him.”

Biden said during the campaign, “I’m not going to shut down the country, I’m going to shut down the virus.”

Biden’s team echoed the sentiment on Sunday. “We are not in support of a nationwide lockdown … there simply isn’t a scenario because we can get this under control,” said Atul Gawande, a member of Biden’s COVID-19 advisory board.

Paul doesn’t believe masks are effective, contrary to the views of medical experts. ”The masks aren’t working, social distancing’s not working. What is my proof? The numbers. The numbers are going through the roof,” Paul told Newsmax TV.

Paul also wants the vaccine now. “I think it’s ready to go for those who are willing to sign an informed consent and voluntarily take it. … ”Fauci’s talking about April. I think that’s a terrible idea. He’s going to keep us masked until the end of time… .”
